Shyn Assistant terms of use
Last updated: 1 November 2026
In short: this is an AI assistant that helps you remember things. It can make mistakes, so check anything important. Your phone, your Telegram and your private link are your responsibility. You get a free 7-day trial and there is no minimum term: cancel whenever you like.
1. What it is
Shyn Assistant is a service from Shyn (Shyn Design, details in the legal notice, in Spanish). Through Telegram, it adds what you dictate to your calendar, reads it back to you, sends you summaries and alerts you to anything you mark as urgent. It includes a private page with your calendar.
2. It is an artificial intelligence
- It can misunderstand a date, a name or a time. Check anything important in your calendar.
- It does not give medical, legal, tax or any other professional advice, and it is not for emergencies: for those, call 112.
- It does not replace your judgement: you decide what to do with its reminders.
3. Your account and security (important)
- You are responsible for your phone, your Telegram account, your sign-up link and the private link to your calendar. Anyone with your unlocked phone or your link can talk to your assistant or see your calendar.
- Do not share your links. If you lose them or think someone else has them, write to us and we will change them on the same working day.
- We recommend setting a screen lock on your phone and turning on two-step verification in Telegram.
- Do not dictate passwords, codes or bank details: it is built not to note them down, but do not dictate them. We will never ask you for them.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use it for anything illegal, to harass other people or to store especially sensitive data about third parties (health, beliefs and so on). If these terms are breached, we may pause the service after warning you.
5. Usage limits
To keep the price fair for everyone, each assistant has limits: a number of messages per day and an amount of voice per month. If you reach the voice limit, it keeps answering in writing until the following month, unless you buy a voice pack. If you reach the daily limit, you carry on the next day. The current limits are shown on your page, or you can ask us for them; if we change them, we will tell you first. If you need more voice, you can buy a pack from your panel (VAT included): 60 minutes for €9.90, valid for the month of purchase; 120 minutes for €16.90 or 300 minutes for €34.90, valid for 12 months from purchase. Your plan's voice is used first, then the pack's. On the Basic plan only the 60-minute pack is available; while you have minutes left, it speaks to you at any time of day.
The plans. On Basic, your assistant tells you about your day by voice each morning and answers everything else in writing. On Complete, it speaks to you in its summaries, replies and alerts. The plan with email is Complete and also reads your email (read-only). If you want to change plan, write to us and we will change it for you.
6. Price, payment and cancellation
- The price is the one shown on the Shyn Assistant page, in Spanish, when you sign up (VAT included; the invoice shows the net amount and VAT separately). It is charged in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe.
- Free 7-day trial: when you sign up, you leave your card on Stripe's secure page and pay nothing for the first 7 days. If you cancel within those 7 days, you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the first period (month or year) is charged when the trial ends. The trial is available once per customer.
- No minimum term: cancel whenever you like from "Mi suscripción" or by writing to us. It keeps working until the end of the period already paid; the unused part is not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- If you are a consumer (not signing up for your business), you have 14 days to withdraw. Because the service starts as soon as you activate it, by signing up you agree that it starts straight away; if you withdraw within those 14 days, we will refund the unused part.
- Gifts: if you have it through a code, it is free for the time the code states. When that ends it pauses by itself (nothing is charged) and we tell you how to continue.
7. Availability
We do our best to keep it working at all times, but it depends on third-party services (Telegram, AI providers, the internet). There may be outages or delays. If there is a long outage on our side, we will compensate you.
8. Liability
Shyn is responsible for providing the service with due care. It is not liable for damage resulting from not checking what was noted down, from use contrary to these terms or from third parties accessing your phone or your links. Liability will never exceed what you have paid in the last 12 months, except in cases of wilful misconduct or where the law does not allow it to be limited.
9. Data processing (Art. 28 GDPR)
For other people's data that you add to your calendar, you are the controller and Shyn is the processor. Shyn undertakes to:
- Process the data only to provide the service to you and following your instructions.
- Keep it confidential and allow access only to the people and providers who need it (listed in your data in Shyn Assistant, in Spanish), under the same obligations. If we add a new provider, we will tell you first and you may object.
- Apply appropriate security measures and tell you without delay about any breach.
- Help you respond to those people's rights.
- When the service ends, return or delete the data, as you choose.
- Give you the information needed to show that we comply.
10. Changes and applicable law
If we change these terms we will give you 30 days' notice; if you do not agree, you can cancel at no cost. Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction; otherwise, those of León. These terms are a translation: if the versions differ, the Spanish one prevails, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
